Title: Enhancing Student Success: Employing Validation, High-Impact Practices and an Asset-Based Framework.
Keynote Abstract: The keynote address will address three areas of importance as colleges and universities seek to foster student success. These include: 1) engaging faculty and staff in actively validating and supporting students, 2) employing pedagogic innovations that result in high-impact practices and deep learning experiences, and 3) working with an asset-based student success framework that acknowledges student strengths and community cultural wealth.
