2023 Midwest First-Year Conference

Join us for the 2023 annual conference on Friday, September 22nd at Carthage College! We hope you can join us in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

This regional one-day drive-in conference provides a forum for academic and student affair professionals to share ideas, resources, and engaging pedagogy to enhance their instruction of first-year students.

Please note: The NABITA Case Management Advanced Interventions training on Sept. 20 and 21 has been cancelled. Please visit the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment for information about other training and educational opportunities.

Bonita C. Jacobs. Ph.D. is president of the University of North Georgia, and past executive director of the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students. Midwest First-Year Conversation with Dr. Christine Harrington

Dr. Christine Harrington has been working in higher education for over 20 years, predominately in the community college sector. Currently, she is a professor and co-coordinator of a newly established Ed.D. in Community College Leadership program at New Jersey City University. Christine is the author of numerous books and articles related to teaching, learning and student success and is frequently invited to give plenary presentations at national and local conferences as well as at colleges and universities across the nation.
